I have been a teacher at Kennedy Middle School since 1999. Over the years I have taught math and science to sixth and seventh graders, but currently am enjoying teaching sixth grade math! Before coming to Kennedy, I taught three years of first grade at Gesu Catholic School in Detroit.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Wayne State University with a major in science and a minor in math. Later, I received my Master's in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
I have been married to my husband, Michael for 20 years and we have 2 sons, Owen (13) and Adam (11). My family keeps me very busy outside of my school day. Both of my sons bowl on a league. Owen enjoys golf during the summer months. Adam currently plays defense on his '05 MT. Clemens Wolves travel hockey team. We all enjoy attending his games.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping, bowling, attending baseball and football games, and going to the movies.
We love attending Lions games! Goooo LIONS!
